This quarantine has been a time of social distancing for all of us. I've had a lot of time to self reflect and think about all the things I take for granted. In this final project, I've shown what has been keeping me busy, whether it's hanging out with friends from 6 feet apart or baking new things in the kitchen.
Ming - My friend Ming is one of the people I miss the most. I've gone to school with her since kindergarten. I even went to China with her last year. She had the chance to come over a couple weeks ago and we had the chance to hangout. It was the highlight of my week and I'll definetly not take it for granted again.
Hannah - Hannah has been a long time family friend of mine. I've been the best of friends with her since I could remember. A little while ago, her family came over and we got to catch up on our not so busy lives. It was so great to just be able to let everything go and be in the moment.
Lemon Loaf - I've gotten bored too many times to count during this quarantine. One of the things that keep me busy is baking. We recently got a whole lot of lemons and decided to make some lemon loaf. Our friends had some mini loaf pans that we borrowed and made three mini loafs to give away to friends.
The Park - Before this, I never went on walks and never wanted to. But this has given me the chance to observe the beauty around me. On one of my walks I went to the park. I noticed how things had changed, some of the structures had caution tape and signs on them.
Baked Goods - Along with the mini lemon loafs I made, I also baked several other things. We had gotten a good amount of bananas and made some really good banana bread with mini chocolate chips on top. With the left over lemons, we made some lemon meringue. Somehow a whole lemon ended up in the mix and we had to pluck it out.
